The Tattendorf terroir
Ried Frauenfeld (on the map 1)
Meagre alluvial soil with a thin layer of black topsoil; high limestone content, good humus content, plenty of stone. Pinot Noir, Sankt Laurent & Zweigelt.
Ried Steingarten (2)
A parcel in Ried Frauenfeld that we vinify separately. Sankt Laurent & Pinot Noir.
Ried Holzspur (3)
Six hectares of warm alluvial soils with high limestone content. Pinot Noir, Sankt Laurent & Cabernet Sauvignon.
Ried Lores (4)
Four hectares with black topsoil & cool characteristics. Predominantly Chardonnay, a small portion of Sauvignon Blanc.
Ried Weisses Kreuz (5)
Seven hectares of meagre soil. Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Merlot & Blaufränkisch.
Ried Kellerried (6)
Six hectares with varying layers of black topsoil. A great wealth of different grape varieties; we consider it a paradise for the preservation of old genetic material.
