Grapes from vineyards around Tattendorf and, to a lesser extent, near Gumpoldskirchen, are grown for our fruity and finesse-laden Pinot Noir, which is matured exclusively in large wooden barrels. In years with especially favourable weather conditions, we create a highly complex Pinot Noir from grapes grown in the Holzspur vineyard in Tattendorf. The vines here were planted in 1975. Following careful selection of the grapes and fermentation in wooden tanks, we mature the wine in small wooden barrels for approximately 18 months. After further maturation in bottles for another 12 months, the wine is released for sale.
